Two Year Old Playgroup Curriculum
The Playgroup children are involved in many hands-on experiences. They learn by observing and doing, through play, art experiences, listening to stories, singing songs, participating in creative movement activities. Separation and socialization are important goals in this class. Taking turns and sharing are encouraged with praise and positive reinforcement.
The following areas are incorporated into the Playgroup program:

- Shapes
- Numbers
- Counting & One to One Correspondence
- Sorting & Matching - Same Different
- Spatial Concepts - ie: In and Out, Up and Down, Under and Over
- Exploring the Five Senses
- All About Me & My Family
- Everybody has Feelings
- Character Building: Kindness, Friendship, Cooperation, Sharing, Politeness & Taking Turns
- The World Around Me: Weather, Seasons, Nature, Holidays
- Manipulating, Constructing & Experimenting with Materials
- Development of Fine and Gross Motor Skills, Creative Thinking and Listening Skills
