  A.    General Information
  • School will delay re-opening until September 21st, in order to prepare classrooms and train staff with new procedures.
  • We will be offering both in class and remote learning.
    • 4 year old classes are as follows...
      •  Mondays to Thursdays  - in school
      •  Fridays – remote learning
    • 3 and 2 year old classes are as follows...
      • Mondays – remote learning
      • Tuesday to Thursdays  - in school 
  • There is also the option of full remote learning
  • Families will be asked to sign an agreement
    • Committed to be a part of our school from September 21, 2020 until January 31, 2021.
    • That classes can be changed from hybrid to full remote learning at any time.
    • That they will not send their child to school knowingly if their child or anyone in their home is ill.
    • That they will inform the school if anyone in their family has tested positive, or has come into contact with an individual who has tested positive.
  • All Fall field trips will be canceled for the start of the school year.
 
B.    Arrival and Dismissal
  • All staff members and students will have a health and temperature screening at the entrance. 
  • A daily temperature log will be kept for everyone.
  • If anyone has a temperature above 99.3 degrees, they will not be allowed to enter. 
  • Temperatures will be taken using a non-contact Infrared thermometer.
  • Everyone ages 3 years old, and above, will be required to wear a mask.
  • Drop off and pick up will be at the front door.
  • Only staff and students will be invited into the building.
  • Hand sanitizing liquid or wipes will be available at the entrance for all who enter the building
  • Arrival and dismissal times will be staggered by classes.
  • Arrival times will be between 9am to 9:30am, dependent on the class.
  • Dismissal times will be between 11:45am to 12:15pm
C.     Health Screening
  • Anyone who is sick with anything (even sniffles) should stay home.
  • Anyone feeling ill will be isolated, and parents will be asked to pick up as soon as possible. 
  • If a staff or student is sent home with possible COVID 19 symptoms, they may return when they provide a negative test result and/or all symptoms have been resolved as per health official guidelines.
  • If there is a COVID 19 positive diagnosis...
    • The individual's name will remain confidential.
    • The health authority and families of the individual’s class will be notified.
    • Areas that the individual came into contact with be vacated, deep cleaned, and disinfected as per CDC guidelines.
    •  Class and staff will be quarantined as per CDC guidelines.
D.    Instructions
  • Class sizes will be reduced significantly, depending on the size of the classroom.
  • Social distancing seating will occur during instruction.
  • Students will be given assigned seats.
  • Outdoor instruction will be used as much as possible.
  • Gym instruction will be different.  It will include dance, yoga, stretching and other activities that do not include sharing equipment.
  • Art instruction will be done in the classrooms with individual supplies.
  • Instruction will include proper handwashing, and proper personal hygiene.
  • Classes will be kept apart as best as possible.
E.     Snacks
  • All families are asked to provide one payment of $30 per student for snacks and celebration supplies to cover the entire school year.
  • The school will use this fund to provide healthy snacks for all. 
  • Staff will continue to use gloves and proper sanitary methods to distribute snacks.
F.     Participation
  • Parent participation has changed for the safety of all in two important ways:
    • Most committees have been indefinitely suspended.
    • Suspension of parent volunteers in classrooms.
G.    Cleaning
  • Deep sanitizing and disinfecting will be done each morning using an EPA approved electrostatic disinfectant fogger throughout the school.
  • Staff will clean high touch areas and common surfaces in the classroom regularly during the day.
  • Bathrooms will be sanitized after each use and disinfected each morning.
  • Students and staff will wash hands or sanitize hands after every activity. This practice will be reinforced regularly.
H.   Communication
  • All Parents must sign up for the Bloomz App in order to receive important information and updates from your child’s teacher.
  • We welcome your calls and emails throughout the school year. Your child’s Teacher will call or text you periodically to tell you about your child and their school experience.
