                              Our Director


                              Anna Chappell has been the director of the Hicksville Nursery School since 2007.  Prior to becoming the director, she was a substitute teacher.  For several years her teaching experiences also includes Preschool and kindergarten.

                              Anna holds an A.S. in Early Childhood, a B.S. in Elementary Education and has a Master's Degree in Liberal Studies/Reading.  She has been in the field of education for over twenty years and she continues to attend early childhood seminars, conferences, and workshops.  She shares her wealth of knowledge and her love of the field of early childhood with teachers and parents daily.  Her office door is always open to parents.



                              Our Teachers


                              Our Co-op is very fortunate to have such a warm and loving staff of six professional teachers and assistants.  Our professionally trained preschool teachers are of the highest quality.  As early childhood educators, they provide a happy, secure and stimulating learning environment for every child.  They develop a positive teacher-child relationship with each child in their care.

                              The 3 and 4 year old teachers write a monthly notice to parents informing them of the monthly goals and objectives of their program, special activities, songs, and other pertinent information to keep parents informed.  A parent-teacher conference is scheduled once a year, but there is ongoing communication between parents and teachers.
